Home contents insurance
The things we keep and use at home are important in different ways. Some are hard to replace, others impossible to live without – even for one day. Cheap contents insurance is one thing, but if anything happens, you’ll need to know what’s covered.
Our home and contents insurance is simple. Content insurance up to £50,000, which works out like this:
- £15,000 insurance for valuables (like jewellery) with any individual articles up to £2,500
- £10,000 for home PCs, laptops, printers or scanners
- £5,000 content insurance for things you keep in the garage or outbuildings
- £1,000 for things you’d normally leave outside like barbecues or garden furniture
- £1,000 for any loss of oil or metered water
- £1,000 towards food or drink If there’s a power cut or your fridge or freezer breaks down
- £1,000 for replacement locks if you get broken into or you lose your keys
- £500 for any money or bank cards you keep in the house
- £10,000 for somewhere to stay if something happens to your home (that’s covered by your policy), which means you can’t live there until it’s fixed
Conditions apply. Cover is subject to individual assessment. UK residents only.
